Privacy Policy

What we collect

Postal code (to determine area water conditions); assessment answers (water symptoms, home age, water source, household size, bathrooms, appliances, goals, timeline, and any note you choose to type); your name, phone number and/or email address only if you ask us to follow up with you after your assessment (optional, and either a phone number or an email is enough). No account required, no payment information collected.

If you arrive at our site from an online ad, we may collect the ad-click identifier (such as Google's gclid) and basic campaign tags included in the link. We use these only to understand which ads bring visitors to the site. They are not used to track you across other websites, and we do not use cookies to collect them.

Why we collect it

To generate a tailored water treatment recommendation; and, if you ask us to follow up, to contact you by phone or email about your assessment and the systems we recommended. We do not email you your results automatically; a person from King Plumbing reaches out only when you have asked for it.

How your information is stored

Stored in a secure database hosted in Canada; retained as long as needed to provide our services and follow up; you may request deletion at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. Providers: Anthropic (Claude AI generates your recommendation; your answers are sent to Anthropic, which may process data outside Canada); Resend (delivers our internal notification emails, which include the details you submit, to King Plumbing); Supabase (database, stores data in Canada); Vercel (hosting + privacy-friendly cookieless analytics that count page views without identifying you).

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. While you complete the assessment, the site sets one short-lived functional cookie that ties your assessment to your browser so that no one else can change it or request a follow-up in your name; it contains no personal information and expires within six hours. If you arrive from an online ad, the ad-click identifier is held in your browser's session storage only until your assessment is created, then discarded. Analytics are cookieless and do not identify individual visitors.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may access, request correction of, or request deletion of your personal information; email admin@king-plumbing.ca to make a request.
